More Cinema 4d Experiments

I added two more 3d experiments to my Vimeo channel.

1:
Just a first render of a little test/learning scene I'm building. Inspired by the great piece 'Kinetic Type' by Motion504 I wanted to create a little surreal machine, from wood this time ;) The main challenge for me was how to create the 'sails' using the clothilde tags in Cinema.

2:
A little experiment combining MoGraph 2 dynamics, cloners and attractors and Metaball:

Traffic

in my process of learning Cinema 4D I was really exited about the MoGraph 2 update in Cinema version 11.5.

I’m organizing a monthly internal challenge project at HC around a theme. This month’s theme was “Traffic”. I decided to use MoGraph for the entire piece. It’s a great way to learn more about a specific tool while still ending up with a nice piece instead of all sorts of little test renders. With one basic shape ( the cube) and 3 different colors I made a lot of different Mograph tests and let them resolve in the word Traffic.

Update: After watching my Traffic animation the nice people of Maxon asked my permission to use the video on their website for Cinema 4D / MoGraph 2 promotion! It's a real honor to be asked to share my work with the Maxon community, so here it is on the MoGraph 2 page of their website: www.maxon.net/products/modules/modules/mograph-2.html

Another 5 second project: Spooky Scary

While playing around with the cloth tools in Cinema 4D I decided to do another Greyscalegorilla 5 Second Project for the Spooky Scary theme. I didn't have quite enough time to really get it right. So I'm going to revise it a little when I have more time, but I'm kinda happy with the composite in After Effects.

FXPHD - Online vfx training

Thanks to Hollandcentraal I started some interesting Cinema 4d and After Effects classes at FXPHD last week.

"fxphd is an online vfx, production, post-production training program led by professionals. We offer both application and craft-based courses, online forums for feedback, and vpn software."

I subscribed for Cinema 4D and Design, MoGraph and More and After Effects Studio Techniques CS4. Here are the first results of the Cinema 4D classes:
