She liked the pictures I took during my trips tp Lapland in Sweden and was looking for something in the same mood.

Monday, October 31, 2011 at 8:13AM 'Ode to the North' is a video I created as part of my application for the Fjällräven Polar 2012 expedition, a 330 Km dog sledding adventure in the North of Sweden and Norway.
The contest is closed now (15the of November 2011) and I ended at the 15th position for the Benelux countries. Thanks to all those who voted for me! This was my entry page: www.fjallraven.com/outdoor-life/polar
For now I can only hope to be selected by Fjällräven as one of the 'extra' team members, they are going to pick one person per country to be part of this adventure as well. I can't wait to start making a winter version and eventually a 4 seasons Ode To The North video! So my fingers are crossed! ;)
About the video:
I shot a lot of pictures during my two hiking trips to the Northern parts of Sweden. Being out there on my own was a surreal experience. For this video I selected 5 of those pictures and animated them using camera projection in Cinema 4D. All color grading and typography was done in After Effects.

Friday, November 20, 2009 at 9:08PM in my process of learning Cinema 4D I was really exited about the MoGraph 2 update in Cinema version 11.5.
I’m organizing a monthly internal challenge project at HC around a theme. This month’s theme was “Traffic”. I decided to use MoGraph for the entire piece. It’s a great way to learn more about a specific tool while still ending up with a nice piece instead of all sorts of little test renders. With one basic shape ( the cube) and 3 different colors I made a lot of different Mograph tests and let them resolve in the word Traffic.
Update: After watching my Traffic animation the nice people of Maxon asked my permission to use the video on their website for Cinema 4D / MoGraph 2 promotion! It's a real honor to be asked to share my work with the Maxon community, so here it is on the MoGraph 2 page of their website: www.maxon.net/products/modules/modules/mograph-2.html

I didn't have quite enough time to really get it right. So I'm going to revise it a little when I have more time, but I'm kinda happy with the composite in After Effects.
